Winter maintenance

The temperature is getting colder and the cold winter is coming. The maintenance and repair of small excavators is very important. Pay attention to the following misconceptions and common problems, so that small excavators can survive the winter in good physical and mental health.

Butter the equipment during work

If the outdoor temperature is low in winter, choose appropriate salt free butter. If the salt free butter is not selected correctly, it is easy to destroy the manual butter gun. It is necessary to fight butter every day. You can’t be afraid of freezing your hands because of the low temperature, which will damage the equipment and lose a lot of money.

Discharge cooling circulating water

Before stopping the fire, run at a speed until the temperature of cooling circulating water drops below 60 ℃ and the water is not hot, then stop the fire and add water. When adding water, the residual water in the fuselage shall be completely discharged to prevent freezing and swelling and crack the fuselage.

Maintenance of water storage tank

▊ the heat pipe radiator of the water storage tank shall be carefully inspected to see if embrittlement occurs. If there is any problem, it shall be handled properly. Especially in winter, it is very easy to have problems.

▊ check and add automobile antifreeze. If the automobile antifreeze is not enough, part of the automobile antifreeze in the automobile engine will volatilize. Over time, the lack of automobile antifreeze will lead to abnormal high temperature in the automobile engine. Automobile antifreeze shall be added at the axis of the auxiliary water storage tank. (automobile antifreeze must be added in winter, which can not be replaced by tap water. Once it freezes, the automobile engine will be broken.)

▊ the water temperature sensor plays a key role in heating the diesel engine during operation. Remove the water temperature sensor when the temperature is high in summer. In winter, avoid the low temperature of small excavator during operation. The water temperature sensor must be installed.

Operating excavator with fire

Do not remove the air filter element, pour pure cotton yarn on the diesel engine for combustion, make a fire, and place it in the air inlet for combustion operation. In that way, in the operation process, the external dust gas will be immediately sucked into the cylinder without over consideration, resulting in abnormal damage to piston rod, cylinder and other parts, and will continue to cause diesel engine operation failure and endanger the equipment.

Diesel engine maintenance

Check whether the oil level of diesel engine vehicle oil tank is sufficient. If it is not enough, it must be added to prevent corrosion in the inner cavity of diesel chassis.

Battery maintenance

When winter comes, the outdoor temperature is too low, which will weaken the storage capacity of the battery. Pay special attention to the battery voltage value, otherwise the battery will run out of electricity the next day. If possible, the battery should be removed and placed in the room.

Note: when removing the battery, disconnect the negative line first, and then the positive line; During installation, connect the positive grade line first, and then the negative grade line. This will avoid short circuit when removing the battery.

Refitting anti-theft lock

When the small excavator is placed outdoors, be sure to check and remove the valuables in the small excavator. If necessary, refit two self locks to avoid the loss and theft of objects.

Bake the engine oil pan over fire

Baking the engine oil pan by fire is likely to cause the lubricating oil in the engine oil pan to mildew, even burn, reduce or completely lose the wettability, and then aggravate the equipment damage. Automobile oil with low cold filter point should be used in winter. During operation, the method of heating the main engine water bath can be adopted to improve the oil temperature.

Storage of excavator crushing hammer

For excavators equipped with excavator crushing hammer, the following two points must be paid attention to:

▊ when the excavator crusher hammer is not used for one month, it is necessary to place a wooden pillow at the back of the excavator crusher hammer for lifting, then discharge the N2 of the rear engine cylinder block, push the piston rod down the middle cylinder body, and store it in a dry area in the room to prevent water seepage and corrosion of the piston rod, resulting in damage to the seal of the piston rod frame.

▊ if the excavator breaking hammer is not used for more than 2 months, the skeleton seal will be deformed and brittle due to long-term idleness. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the skeleton seal when it is applied again.

Maintenance of central air conditioner and automobile engine

▊ operate the central air conditioner once a month. After the temperature of the car cab is raised, let the refrigerant circulate in the circulating system of the air conditioning unit for one week, so as to maintain a certain wall thickness of oil slick at the sealing ring of the air conditioning unit to avoid refrigerant leakage.

▊ run the automobile engine once a month, so that another layer of new oil slick can be attached to the surface of machine parts to avoid corrosion or polishing damage.

▊ in winter, the transmission belt of small excavators is prone to problems, which must be checked frequently. If the transmission belt deviates and is too tight, it will cause damage to the transmission belt.
